Grants

Our Selection Process

The Boone County Community Trust board meets in May and October of each year to discuss grant applications and designate the recipients. All organizations requesting funding must be based in Boone County, benefit its citizens and be recognized as a nonprofit organization by the IRS.

Applications must be submitted prior to April 1st and September 1st to be eligible for review; though emergency funding applications are encouraged and may be submitted at any time. Capital campaign funding needs, including new buildings, renovations or repair costs, or essential equipment to fulfill the mission of the organization are given primary consideration.

We’ve tried to make the application process as easy as possible, and we have a list of guidelines and restrictions, an application checklist and a sample application to help you along the way.
